Amrita School of Engineering was started in 2002 as "Amrita Institute of Technology & Science" with a vision to produce quality engineers with service attitude for the benefit of the society and nation. The school was conceived of as the grooming ground for future engineering professionals of India. Initially it had only three branches: Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Information Technology. It was then affiliated to the University of Kerala. website
Amrita School of Arts & Sciences at Amritapuri Campus took its birth from AMMA's educational vision as "Amrita Institute of Computer Technology (AICT)" in 1990 at Puthiakavu, a village in Kollam district. AMMA's suggestion was to rear a generation that could successfully meet the rigorous demands of the Informatin Age and, at the same time, be imbued with noble ideas of selfless service and love. Her vision still continues to as the aim and objective of the School. website
The Vision of the Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is to actively pioneer interdisciplinary education, research and industry collaboration in Biotechnology. The School will strive to advance research, generate affordable preventive & therapeutic innovations to stimulate industrial growth and improve the human condition. website
The Amrita School of Ayurveda campus is situated on 25 acres of beautiful land near the backwaters along the coast of Kerala, only a few minutes from Amma's Amritapuri Ashram. website |
