Report on Show-Wiz
“It will take a wiz to weave out of the web. Show your mettle.”
After an eventful first day it was time for the participants to do something to relax and enjoy and the quiz show perfectly filled in the void. The stage was set in the plush garden corridor of Amritapuri Campus.
Br Karthi, who had done a splendid performance in Netblitz 06 was once again back in midst of the show. As the quiz master.
The prelims of the quiz were conducted earlier in the afternoon with more than <> participants battling out to move to the next level. The top 16 participants were selected and the names were announced right on the grand finale.
The finals were divided into 4 semi finals so that each participant among the top 16 gets a chance to get into the finals. The top scorer from each semi final was given a seat in the finals.
The quiz show witnessed splendid participation from both participants and the audience. As all were eager to give the correct answer. It was a knowledge based enjoyment where every body learnt new things in the networking world.
Finally at the end of a much fought battle in the semi finals the best 4 were once again made to fight in the finals which saw the top 2 emerge as winners.
The 1st cash prize of Rs 5000/- was given to:- Vinaya Surya NIT, Calicut
And the 2nd cash prize of Rs 3500/- was awarded to:- Vineeth V K
