Staff Activities
The following activities were conducted for all the faculty members of the department:
A workshop on VLSI and VHDL programming was conducted by senior faculty members on 5th   March, 2006 and this programme was transmitted to other campuses of the university via the   e- learning network.
A lecture series on Field Theory was conducted by Prof. S. Shastri, Coimbatore campus during   February 21-25, 2006.
• A workshop on question paper setting in order to evolve guide lines for the setting of question   paper; for all the faculty members of Amritapuri campus on February 25, 2006.
• The department had organized a rounder programme, Analog Integrated Circuits during   December 15-17, 2005 for all the faculty members of Amrita University.
Other lectures given by the department faculties in outside colleges:
• Br.Karthi had delivered a talk on Advances in electronics at Younis College of Engineering on   28th March, 2006.
• Br.Karthi and Br.Ramesh had delivered a lecture on VLSI and PIC micro controller at the AICTE   short term course conducted at N.S.S. College of Engineering, Palakad on March 17, 2006.
• Mr. V.T. Gopakumar was invited as judge for a technical session at TKMIT, Kollam on January 25,   2006 for IEEE chapter TKMIT.
• Dr. Rajendran (HOD) delivered a lecture on Electrical System Design at College of Engineering,   Trivandrum in a short term course.
• Mr. Suresh Kumar and Mrs. Renu attended short term courses at Indian Institute of Bangalore   during December 2005.
• Mr. Gopakumar V T presented a paper on "Fabry - Parot cavity Narrowband Filters based on   FBGs" at an international conference on Optics & Optoelectronics" on December 12, 2005,   Dehradun. |
