The Department of EEE that offers B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering was formed in June 2007.Currently, the department has total student strength of 194. There are thirteen faculty members exclusively for teaching and three supporting lab staffs. We have adopted a credit based course curricula and continuous evaluation benchmarks of international standards in education with a rich industry-academia interaction
The strength of the department is portrayed by highly experienced faculty members with rich industrial, research and teaching experience from round the globe. One of our faculty members, Mr. Joshua David Freeman who was initially working at General Motors in developing a ‘Diesel-Electric Hybrid Bus’ has carried over his experience to Amrita and is currently working in the field of renewable energy applications.
