History
The Computer Science and Engineering Department started when the college was established at Amritapuri in 2002. Initially the department offered B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology. The college was affiliated to the University of Kerala at that time. In 2004 the college became part of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a multi disciplinary, multi Campus University established under section 3 of UGC act 1956. Computer Science Department started the Masters program in Computer Application in 2005. As the department grew in size, it was segregated into 3, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Department of Information Technology (IT) and Department of Computer Science and Application (CSA) in 2006.
