Property Offences
Include but are not limited to
a) Displacing, or damaging University property,
b) Trespassing upon or entering, unauthorised areas of University property
c) Unauthorised or inappropriate use of University property or the property of others.
d) Unauthorised or inappropriate use, duplication, or possession of keys, computer access codes, identity cards, or other security mechanisms.
3) Other Offences Include but are not limited to
a) Possessing or using weapons of any kind.
b) Illegal use, possession or distribution of alcohol, drugs or other controlled or restricted substances.
c) Intentionally creating a safety or health hazard.
d) Impeding or obstructing an investigation, or not cooperating in an investigation process.
e) Conveying or presenting any false information for any official purpose.
f) Possessing or using any form of false University identification.
g) Impersonating.
h) Engaging in disorderly, disruptive, or indecent conduct. Inciting or participating in a demonstration or group disruption. Failing to leave the scene of a demonstration or group disruption when instructed by officials. Disorderly conduct may include disruption of programmes, classroom activities or functions and processes of the University. This item covers unreasonable noise, creating a physically hazardous or physically offensive condition.
i) Gambling and betting of any sort. Any form of unauthorised collection of money from among the students or from the general public in the name of the university.
j) Using charging devices, electric irons, heaters or other similar devices except as permitted in writing by the University/Hostel administration.
k) Failure to comply with any sanction imposed by the University for misconduct under this Code.
