Currently, the department offers one undergraduate course , B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering.

The under graduate courses in Computer Science has been designed with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science and to carry out leading-edge research in the discipline of Computer Science. With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for innovation the department has always produced quality professionals, holding various positions in Information Technology and other industry in India and abroad.

Three batches of students were passed out. First two batches were under the University of Kerala. Out of the fifteen affiliated Engineering colleges under the University of Kerala we got outstanding results. In the very first batch we got first and Fifth rank in the B.Tech degree examination conducted by the University of Kerala in 2006 and also we bagged the fourth rank in IT in the same year. The excellent placement record that we have is itself recognition to the quality of education that we are providing. All most all passed out students from CSE are well placed in reputed companies. Thirty Six students of the very first batch and twenty seven of the second batch got campus placements in reputed organizations like CARITOR, I-FLEX, INFOSYS TECHNOLOGIES, PEROT SYSTEMS, SUNTECH, TATA ELXSIS, XANSA, WIPRO, US TECHNOLOGY, MBT, etc. The placements touched cent percent for the batches passed out in 2008. The department focuses on the overall development of the students imparting Industry standard skills through Projects and by encouraging Student’s Association activities and Industrial visits.

The goals of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering are:

That students who complete a B.Tech Degree in Computer Science and Engineering
1. Be able to apply the defining processes of computer science - theory, abstraction, and design - to solve a wide variety of problems,
2. Have a breadth of knowledge across the subject areas of Computer Science,
3. Have a high level of programming skills.
4. Understand the social context of computing, be able to make sound ethical decisions regarding the use of information technology, and be able to expand their knowledge and skills in computer science through research and self-directed study and to communicate their knowledge in speaking and writing
